When should I visit a dentist even without pain?
Many dental problems do not cause strong symptoms at first. Early tooth decay, gum inflammation or small changes around an older filling may remain unnoticed, but can require more complex care later.
Why are regular check-ups useful?
A check-up is not only about treating pain. It helps identify early signs, review the teeth and gums, assess older fillings or crowns, and decide whether any follow-up is needed.
What signs are worth noticing?
- bleeding gums during brushing,
- sensitivity to cold, heat or sweet foods,
- bad breath or an unpleasant taste,
- changes around an older filling, crown or bridge,
- tartar, staining or gum recession.
How often should I have a dental check-up?
The right interval depends on individual risk, oral hygiene, previous dental work and general health factors. Some people need check-ups more often than others. The most appropriate rhythm can be recommended after a personal examination.
This article is for general information only. If you have symptoms or concerns, a personal dental examination is needed.
